2018 mileage: 1103.4
What a stunningly glorious day for a ride! Here is the sight (and scent) that confronts me when finishing my rides, on the sidewalk paralleling Lohr Rd., coming up the hill from Oak Valley.
I began just past 8:30, at which time the sky was cloudless and the temperature already 59°. My ride of 10.2 miles took me 1:13—I would have liked to have done two round trips to Marsh Park on such a beautiful day, but schedule was crunching me a bit, so I kept it to one. And by the time I finished, it had soared to 73°!
Also, I went over another mileage milestone (the first in a while, since April 27), going over 1100 for the year.
I enjoy reading about your pedaling through the park. As for here most of my time is spent on house or yard. I think I've posted this before, but I had a conversation with a friend Ty Cobb (great name; chief of the Columbia Fire Department) where I mentioned buying a flamethrower to clear out the back yard. His response: "Aw, don't do that Don but if you do please let me known and I'll send a truck over". Between and our church sexton we have cut down much bamboo and have taken it to the city street for pick up. Then too, an old friend from Nissan days wrote that he wanted some bamboo so he and his stought grandson came over today to dig out several groups of the big green (nuda) and the yellow and green "Green Bay Packer". I wish him the best and told him to feet free to come back for more. Don
